Enjoy affordable, luxurious overnight accommodation in this tastefully decorated Victorian home.

Bougain-Villa offers 2 spacious en-suite bedrooms with double beds. Each room has its own separate entrance. 

Also available, a double room with queen sized bed and another with two single beds – both at a lower rate. Bathroom across the passage.A coffee/tea tray with rusks is provided. Each room has its own TV with satellite bouquet available. Electric blankets are provided for chilly winter evenings.  Likewise, fans for the long, warm summer nights.

Bougain-Villa does not offer any meals but we can recommend local restaurants, so it is well suited to an overnight stay and for those with discerning taste buds wanting to take full advantage of the many eateries the village has to offer.  We look forward to welcoming you to Bougain-Villa.

Bougain-Villa was once the home of Professor Chris Barnard’s parents (1945 – 1951) when it was the ‘Pastorie” for the NG Mission Church.             They moved back to Beaufort West where their home is now a Museum dedicated to their famous son.

SUNDOWNERS AT EERSTEWATER

Take a drive into the Swartberg Pass with John and his 'donkey' (a Ford Everest) and enjoy a glass of wine or a beer beneath the magnificent Capefold Sandstone walls which change colour as you watch.  R150 per person.  The tour last one hour. A magical experience.

TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN

Take a two hour trip into Thomas Bain's 'masterpiece' the Swartberg Pass - see the dry sandstone walls and wonderful views. Watch the vegetation change from Karoo veld flora to fynbos and hear the history... R250 per person.  (If it's in the evening we'll enjoy a glass of wine at Eerstewater on the way down!)

Bougain-Villa Package 1   Gamkaskloof “The Hell” A two day B & B package for singles and groups of up to 6 (4 adults & 2 children) Enjoy two nights in one of our comfortable en-suite bedrooms with breakfast and a day trip into the Swartberg Pass and along the fascinating road to Gamkaskloof in John's 'donkey' (a Ford Everest).  All this for just R2250 per person (2 people) or R2000 per person (3 or 4 people)				Bougain-Villa Package 2   Overnight in Gamkaskloof “The Hell” A three day B & B package for singles and groups of up to 6 (4 adults &  2 children)  Enjoy two nights in one of our comfortable en-suite bedrooms at Bougain-villa  with breakfast AND a night in Gamkaskloof (The Hell) in one of the restored houses.
